May on ShareTheBoard

We don’t really know where May went – it went by so quickly! We have put in a significant amount of effort to be able to present you with a long list of new features and improvements. As we promised, it’s interesting!

What's new

  • New observer view – current frame and ability to return to saved frames on the same screen. The Board Memory icon is no longer available. Adding annotations is only available in LIVE mode.
  • Ability to change the theme of the entire application to light, dark, or matched to browser settings. Option available in Settings -> App settings.
  • Unlogged participants have the option to change the theme on their screen. For logged-in observers, the view matches the theme set on their account – there is no button to change that on the observer view.
  • The black background option in downloads is no longer available.
  • Board opacity => Ghosting. This option is available in the session settings in the ‘Content’ section (no longer in ‘Advanced settings’).
  • “Inspect Board View” toggle is no longer available.
  • The static links can be enabled in the Shared Devices tab.
  • The QR code is a larger size.
  • Search Board Memory – new option on the dashboard. You can search for session records by title or keywords/description that were assigned in the automatic analysis.
  • Possibility to zoom Board View for observers on desktop and mobile devices. In cursor mode (without activated adding annotations) just use mouse scroll, +/- on the keyboard or pinch gesture on the touch screen.
  • Added button descriptions throughout the app according to WCAG criteria (so that visually impaired/blind people can effectively use screen readers).
  • Improved transcription results. In the case of a small amount of content, there is no automatic analysis at the end of the meeting.
  • Toggle “Annotation for attendees” in the Organization tab. Admin can enable and disable this option for organization members, but each individual can modify it on their accounts (in App Settings).
  • All annotations are signed in Board Memory (author appears after clicking).
  • “AI content analysis” => “Automatic Board Memory AI” (in App Settings).
  • If the presenter starts a session from a link other than the one currently in progress, the current session closes and a new one starts.
  • The session summary email now does not contain attachments.

Bug fixes

  • Improved sharing of Board Memory records within organizations.
  • Flips no longer reverse annotation’s author signature in Board Memory.
  • Improved centering on Board Memory frames.
  • Improved CC connection with MS Teams/Zoom/Meets – uploading an image does not break the connection.
  • The “Waiting for presenter” screen does not cover the buttons, so the observer can leave the session.
  • Only a single file can be uploaded in the sticky note/image annotation.
  • A camera occupied outside ShareTheBoard cannot be the active camera during the STB session.
  • Improved operation of the ‘Renew now’ and ‘Auto-renew’ options for cases when the credit card has expired or the credit card does not have sufficient funds.
  • A logged-in observer joining a session with a password has a field to enter the password only on the ‘Join’ screen (there is no field for name and email).
