We are proud to share that ShareTheBoard has received the Impact Award at the SXSW EDU 2026 Launch Startup Competition in Austin, Texas. The award recognizes the startup with the greatest potential to improve student learning based on the science of learning.
The Impact Award is presented to the company whose product shows the strongest potential to significantly improve educational outcomes through research-based approaches. According to the competition judges, our solution stood out for its commitment to applying the science of learning to address real challenges faced by students and educators in classrooms.
This recognition is particularly meaningful for us because ShareTheBoard was the only finalist from Poland and the only company representing Europe in the 2026 Launch Startup Competition. Being selected among startups from around the world developing innovative education technologies was already a huge honor. Winning one of the competition’s main awards makes this moment even more special for our team.
SXSW EDU is one of the world’s leading events dedicated to innovation in education. Every year it brings together educators, researchers, policymakers, and startups working to shape the future of learning. The Launch Startup Competition highlights emerging companies whose technologies have the potential to transform education globally.
At ShareTheBoard, we focus on improving accessibility in traditional classrooms by transforming standard whiteboards and chalkboards into digitally accessible learning surfaces. Our technology allows handwritten board content to be viewed clearly on students’ personal devices, zoomed in real time, captured for later review, and automatically transcribed.
This approach improves access to classroom content for students who sit further away from the board, as well as those with visual impairments, mobility challenges, dyslexia, or ADHD. By making handwritten classroom materials more accessible, we aim to remove barriers to learning and support more inclusive and effective education.
Winning the Impact Award at SXSW EDU marks an important milestone for our team and reinforces our belief that improving access to what happens on the classroom board can have a meaningful impact on how students learn.
