All video processing is performed entirely “on the edge,” meaning raw video images never leave your local device. Our proprietary handwriting recognition technology is designed solely to analyze the video streams in real-time to determine if specific pixels are content or not. This ensures the privacy of all meeting participants as well as the space in which they operate.

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ (Transport Layer Security) and at rest using AES-256 (Advanced Encryption Standard), ensuring your information is protected at all times. In addition, we perform automatic backups and undertake Disaster Recovery scenarios.
We use leading, SOC 2 compliant cloud infrastructure providers (like AWS). Our network security follows best practices, including firewalls, access controls, dedicated tools for DDoS protection, monitoring (CloudTrail & CloudWatch), and VPC isolation.
Our systems undergo regular vulnerability scanning and automated OWASP testing. We also commission third-party penetration tests, including a full security audit. Detailed security reports are available upon request.
The only data ShareTheBoard may store is the digitized content (not video) from your whiteboard, which is available through our optional Board Memory feature.
Should you choose to use this feature, your saved contents are secured in transit and at rest, using the highest grade encryption and best practices. Users are responsible for the content that they create and store and ShareTheBoard gives you complete control over your saved data.
