August Updates at ShareTheBoard

Between enjoying the last days of summer and keeping things moving behind the scenes, our team has been working on some exciting updates to ShareTheBoard. Take a look at what’s new this month!

• Content Camera auto-login – a new feature for organizations, configurable in the Organization tab. The desktop application automatically logs in with different system accounts on the configured device.
• New content detection engines:
  – Dark Board (Black & White only) (Experimental) – designed for dark boards, such as chalkboards.
  – Color Enhanced (Experimental) – detected colors are closer to the colors actually visible on the board rather than being categorized into predefined colors.Can be enabled in the Performance tab in the Settings popup.

• Retrying auto-analysis using the “Retry” button or performing a manual analysis in Board Memory is no longer blocked after a failure. Users can retry as many times as needed, but each attempt consumes an AI token.
• The tags list on the presenter’s Board Memory title slide is now hidden by default and can be toggled using the “Show/Hide” buttons. Observers cannot see tags at all.
• The Board Memory search option, both on the Dashboard and within a recording, now requires at least three characters.
• The “Area of focus” button is disabled in the Organization tab for Expired/Pending accounts in the organization member list. An area of focus can only be set for active accounts.
• Mobile: An empty “Voice settings” popup is no longer displayed in the audio transcription section of Board Memory.
• Mindmaps are now a supported format for AI analysis. When a mindmap is detected, the code correctly generates a visual result.
• Static links and custom links now display links to recordings of completed sessions when no session is currently in progress. This default visibility can be disabled in the Shared Devices tab (for static links) or in the Recurring Session Links section (for custom links).
• Combined sessions now display the audio transcription from the original recordings.
• The Search option on the Dashboard now also includes keyframe transcription results.

• Setting the Area of focus works correctly with screen readers.
• Bulk marking/unmarking keyframes in Gallery View in Board Memory works correctly with screen readers.
• Mobile: The popup for adding/editing a Text annotation is no longer hidden behind the keyboard.
• Uploading a captured frame to the current board view by the presenter during a session is now possible regardless of which camera the frame came from.
• Math analysis no longer skips elements of the analyzed content.
• Editing an analysis result no longer breaks the table layout.
• Editing an observer’s annotation by the presenter no longer prevents the original author from modifying that annotation.
• Diagram legends in analysis results are now generated correctly without duplicate values.
• Percentage values added to a diagram during the analysis process are now calculated correctly and no longer change the meaning of the chart.
• Being a presenter in one session and an observer in another session in the same browser is now possible. This does not interfere with keyframe collection in either session, and the “Close session” button works correctly.
• Rejoining a session using the URL of a random-link session is no longer possible.
• Buttons for Math analysis in Board Memory now display correctly on smaller screens.
• Switching cameras in multicameras mode no longer breaks annotation display.

• STASH is currently not working on iOS.
• The High – most precise, Color Enhanced, and Dark Board content detection engines may impact performance on macOS.
