July Updates at ShareTheBoard

Even though the holiday season is in full swing, the past month has brought a long list of new features and improvements to our app. We’re not slowing down for summer, our team has been hard at work delivering updates that make the experience even better.

• NEW FEATURE: You can now add and edit annotations on individual Board Memory frames after a session has ended.
• NEW FEATURE: Public, Private, and Organization annotations.
  – Public – work as before.
  – Private – the menu turns green. Presenters and observers can create annotations that are visible only to themselves. These annotations are not visible to other session participants.
  – Organization – the menu turns orange. Available only in TEAM/ROOM. Annotations are visible only to accounts belonging to the organization (presenter, co-host, and logged-in observers who are members of the organization).Note:
  – The Pointer tool is not affected by these visibility settings.
  – Only Public annotations are passed to the virtual camera (Content Camera when used e.g with Google Meet).
• NEW FEATURE: Area of focus.

  It can be configured:
  – individually in Edit Profile,
  – for each organization member in the Organization tab on the license list.

  The selected Area of Focus helps guide the auto-analysis by indicating the primary subject of sessions on the account.

• Improved AI prompt architecture for analysis.As a result:
  – auto-analysis and the ‘Transcribe’ option during the session and in the Board Memory use LaTeX formatting for mathematical content,
  – screen reader descriptions for charts are now generated in the language configured for the account.

• Enhanced search functionality in Board Memory. When a phrase is entered into the Search field on the Dashboard, the same phrase is automatically applied to the search within the opened recording.
• Empty audio transcription segments on frames are now hidden (if no spoken content was recorded for a frame, the audio transcription panel is not displayed).
• If a scheduled session (Remote Control) has not started at the scheduled time, the admin receives an email notification 5 minutes later.
• Combined sessions are visible only to the account that created them (co-hosts from the original recordings cannot see the newly created Board Memory).
• Added post-processing for audio transcription that:
  – corrects minor typos,
  – adds punctuation,
  – improves terminology where appropriate.

• Mobile: The ‘Confirm’ button when adding or editing a text annotation is now displayed at the top of the screen instead of underneath the keyboard.
• The ‘favorite’ and ‘share’ buttons in the Board Memory section now update instantly without requiring a page refresh.
• Selecting ShareTheBoard Content Camera during an STB session is no longer possible.
• Fixed ghosting in the virtual camera stream (e.g. Google Meet/Zoom).
• Clicking a search result in Board Memory now automatically scrolls to the relevant location (e.g. an analysis result or Presenter Notes).
• Mobile: Search matches are now indicated by a marker above the search icon, which opens the list of search results when tapped.
• Centering is now disabled while editing the work area in Assistive Mode.
• Changes made to Presenter Notes and other editable fields on the Board Memory title slide are now saved immediately after leaving the input field.
• Text annotations now work correctly when using flips.
• “Waiting for presenter” message being displayed for the host in Zoom App and for observers when the presenter is on the onboarding screen.

• Fixed clickable elements in the Settings popup when using a non-standard browser window size.
• Password icons now update without requiring a page refresh (Dashboard and Shared Content tab).
• The sticky note icon in Board Memory is now highlighted when it contains the searched phrase.
• Fixed attendee name editing in the title slide Attendees list for users without an email address.
• Fixed the display of the “Delete” and “Combine” buttons on mobile devices.
• The “Initializing…” loader is now visible in Assistive Mode.
• TAB key navigation no longer skips elements in Board Memory.
• STASH analysis now works correctly on iPhone.
• The number of Board Memories in ROOM organizations no longer exceeds the limit.
• Board Memory frame counts are now calculated correctly when using VoiceOver.
• Analysis no longer changes bar charts into pie charts.
• It is now possible to delete frames from a combined session.
• ‘Save content snapshot’ works correctly for the observer and successfully saves files showing the board view.
• The preview of the image in a Sticky Note works correctly in Assistive Mode.
• Summary emails are delivered correctly after both manual and automatic ending of a Remote Control session.
• Accounts without the audio transcription feature enabled do not receive the system microphone access popup.
